American Institute of Architects,
National Council of Architectural Registration Boards

Born in Havana, Cuba, and educated in a bi-lingual environment, Ricardo “Rick” McCormack is a product of varied influences.

Rick came to the U.S. in 1960 when his family moved to Miami. In 1967, he enrolled at the University of Notre Dame, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in 1972, having studied in Rome for one year.

Rick began working for Deltona Corp. and, during his apprenticeship, gained invaluable experience on some of the first projects built in the highly successful real estate market of Marco Island. While there, Rick developed the love for multi-story design that would be a cornerstone of his 35-year career.

Almost immediately after receiving his license, Rick opened his own firm, which he ran for 33 years. In that time, he built a reputation as one of Southwest Florida’s most successful
and innovative commercial architects, designing everything from corporate offices and high-end retail to residential high-rises and hotels.

Southwest Florida Growth
His attention to detail, experience and insight has made him one of those responsible for the look and growth seen in Southwest Florida over the past three decades.

At iNDIGO architecture inc., Rick’s new focus is guiding his team of talented architects and designers into a new chapter of Southwest Florida’s growth and development.
