Description
This mixed-use project represents a major revitalization to Fort Myers Beach and enhances the look of the main entry point to Estero Island, with plans that include a four-star hotel and spa, timeshare units, upscale retail, office space and conference center components, parking complex and a 250-foot public beachfront park. Designed to invite pedestrian activity, a deep arcade fronts the retail spaces to provide shade while cleverly hiding from view a four-story parking garage. Palms line both sides of the street, and a new plaza provides a venue for many street entertainment activities and outside dining. In addition, a redesign of the current streetscape provides a second exit to Matanzas Pass Bridge.
